  16. UniMode2 requires a machine with a harddisc.
  17. Running the application requires approximately
  18. 200kB of available RAM.
  19. RISC OS 3 v3.10 is required. To make the
  20. application run on higher versions of the OS 
  21. refer to the manuals.

  23. The module UniversalMode takes 6kB of RMA to run
  24. independantely from the application and supports
  25. the dynamically relocatable modes and VidcEnhancer
  26. control.
  27.  
  28. UniMode2 allows creation and editing of screenmode
  29. definitions. These definitions can be saved in a
  30. so-called ModeDescriptionFile or MDF. An MDF is a
  31. relocatable screenmode-definition and can be loaded
  32. at the modenumber of YOUR choice. Additionally
  33. UniMode2 allows full (improved) control over the
  34. VidcEnhancer hardware (if installed).

  36. The help-information provided with this application
  37. is quite extensive. The sub-directory 'Manuals'
  38. inside the application-directory contains all the
  39. information you could wish for.

  46. If you wish to make full use of this application
  47. some knowledge about the VIDC may be beneficial.
  48.  
  49. When writing the manuals we have assumed that the
  50. reader is familiar with the RISC OS 3 desktop and
  51. that he/she has read the Welcome Guide and the
  52. User Guide accompanying the machine. If you have
  53. not done so, please read those documents and
  54. familiarise yourself with the operational skills
  55. and terminology described therein.

  57. Please note that due to time-pressure the "PRM"
  58. and "UserGuide" manuals are not complete/
  59. up-to-date. With the documentation available you
  60. should be able to get quite far. In case you have 
  61. some problems/questions/bugs please don't hesitate
  62. to contact us.

  64. Conform ACORN guidelines the application supports
  65. the 3D-look as supplied with Acorn's !NewLook.
